Second, I am a daughter in my father's house; living joyfully with my parents and six younger siblings until God blesses me with a family of my own. A cat, a dog (Great Pyrenees), and eight Nigerian Dwarf goats make up my current animal "family".
I enjoy many pastimes; I couldn't really say that I have one or two things that I love to do in my free time (unless it is reading ;P); however, there are some things that you will find that I consistently occupy myself with, such as:
- Reading- I greatly enjoy any kind of book, but one of my favorite genres is Mystery
- Writing- anything from blog posts to book reviews to stories
- Being outside- there is something so refreshing about just being in the fresh air... so relaxing. I enjoy being able to look all around me and see evidence of God's creation
- Coffee- I love coffee. Enough said :)
- Cooking/Baking- this has become more of my job over the past year and I love trying new recipes and experimenting
- Spending time with my family- we always have so much fun together, whether it be going to McDonalds at 10pm, catching an escaped buck who is going for the girl goats (which I can assure you is not fun) or lighting a fire which may get slightly (now mind you, it is only slightly... ;P) out of control...well, only enough for us to have to call 911
- Singing- nothing formal, just singing around the house while I work
- Playing harp- it is so relaxing, not to mention that it sounds lovely; not me playing, just the actual harp. I also love playing in nursing homes. It brings me joy to see the older people's faces light up when they hear the harp, and knowing that I have blessed them
- Spinning- another relaxing pastime
