Just because

The other day, I stumbled upon a couple thousand (yes, thousand) photos from 2006 and was laughing at how different all of us look now. So, I decided to post pics. of us in 2006, and then in 2012... just because I feel like it :) We have all changed so much, especially the Littles.

Friendships Renewed

My family was extremely blessed to be at the Titanic 100 last weekend. While there, I was overjoyed to see many familiar faces and a few very dear friends. I made it one of my goals that weekend to take pictures with as many of them as I could. All of them are absolutely wonderful women with hearts for the Lord. I have known all of them for many years, with the exception of Stephanie, whom I met that weekend, yet I feel as though I have known her for ages. ;)

It was great to see all of them again. Each and every one of them are the kind of friends that you can not see for months (not that you don't want to see them, just that it works out that way) and when you do see them, you are able to pick up where you left off. God has richly blessed me with so many wonderful friends and I have learned much by each and every one of their examples to me; I hope that I am as good a friend to others as they are to me.

Note: I saw more very dear friends at the event, but for one reason or another, was unable to get a picture with them. :(

Titanic 100 Children's Play

I am typing this from my Mom's iPhone, so please excuse any and all parts of the interesting layout. Also, please forgive all typos.
This past weekend, at the Titanic 100, my siblings and I were privileged to be in a Children's Play in honor of the event. Shea played the role of Miss Eva Hart, Claire was a little Imigrant Girl, Stephen had his hands full with two roles complete with a change in between- that of Archibald Gracie and Dr. Leighton Parks, Sam did a stupendous job as little Douglas Speddin and I was his nurse, Muddie Boons.

At the end of the play, everybody sang "Nearer my God to thee". In the above picture, while we were applauding our director, Miss Stephanie Cone, Sam and Virginia Phillips were busy talking to each other ;)

When it was Sam's turn to go onto stage, he and I would walk into the stage in the dark, and then a spotlight would turn on for Sam to say his one line- "Oh Muddie, look at the beautiful North Pole!". In the dark, I was supposed to fix the microphone to be at Sam's level, as he was considerably shorter than the person before him at this particular mic. Well, in between the last rehearsal and the actual play, the mic was switched and I could not figure out how to lower it, so poor Sam had to tippy-toe to say his line. Silly me did not think to pick him up and put him on my hip. When the light came on, Sam looked at me and whispered, "Do I say my line now? You mean, right now? Into this mic?" He was SO cute.

A few of us were a part of an ensemble, singing "Eternal Father, Strong to Save".

Adorableness

This week, Pip, B, Mom and I are up at my Grandma's house. After we arrived yesterday, the Littles had a bunch of energy, so I took them outside to run around a bit. I grabbed Mom's phone in hopes of taking some good photos, but my subjects were just a tad unwilling to sit there for me, so this is what I was able to get.

The lighting is not the best here and I am not very adept in the art of editing photos... yet.

A Beautiful Hymn

Here is a hymn that I love; it reminds me of how great God's Grace is toward us every day- "Grace that is greater than all our sin". It also reminds me of my adorable brother, Samuel. After singing this song a few years ago, Samuel started calling me "God's Grace" and did so for about a year. It was SO cute!

Grace Greater than Our Sin

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

Refrain

Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Refrain

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Brighter than snow you may be today.

Refrain

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?

Refrain

Sorry for the lack of posting lately; I have been really, really busy with school and the like

Oh, the many uses of a hairdryer :)

You might use your hairdryer on your hair, and believe me, that's a great use for it; but here, on Pandemonium Plantation (and in my life), there are plenty of other uses for it. For example, you could use it (as most of you have already heard) for drying nail polish on sandwich wrappers, and you could also use it (like I did last night) to dry your kid's hair. Yes sir, last night at around 8pm, in 30 degree weather, two kids were born at Pandemo... Er, I mean Plain Truth Hill Farm.

Yes, this is the one-and-only hairdryer belonging to Grace Breagy that I used on the sandwich wrappers. You know, if I keep this pace up, my hairdryer will soon become world famous for being used for the most random and odd things. ;D Oh, If I look extremely tired to you... that's because I was. Annnnnd... it was raining, hence the water on the back of my shirt.

Mama Latte with babies, which, as of right now do not have names. Those white sweater-like things on the babies backs?? Oh... that is a sock ;) that I cut up because it was COLD outside.

They are both girls, YAY!!!

Stay tuned for the names; they will be coffee names. All of my mama's have themes for their babies, i.e. Cres girls are Gemstones, her boys are Old English Dwelling Places/Castles; Coco girls are Flowers, her boy are Nature; Latte girls are Coffee, her boys are... well... I don't know yet ;) But I have a year to think about it...

A most lovely Birthday Party

This past weekend, Megan, Anna and Jake came down for a joint Birthday party for Jake and me (our Birthdays are less than a month apart). We had SO much fun- we played games, watched Foyle's War and played airsoft. Here are some pics of airsoft, we took a few of playing games, which I might post later, but for now, here are the airsoft pics.

Crossing the creek to get to our battlefield (Notice Stephen in the background trying to pick the log up and flip Jake into the creek... it didn't work)

Afterward, we posed for a few pics.

We were trying to do a kind of "Men/Women in Black" theme, hence the black clothes

I look like I'm trying to scale the wall, I didn't know that the others just barely put their fingers over the wall... oh well

This shot was SO much fun to do... I only wish that the guns were loaded :D

I love this pic; it was candid, but sometimes those are the best

I think that this has to be my favorite of them all.

Thank you Megan for taking the pictures!

Pillows and Owls and Driver's License (Oh my!)

Do these things have anything in common? Of course they do! They are all things that I received for my Birthday (OK, I didn't get a real owl, but I'll get to that in a minute).

These are some pillows that my lovely sisters made for me.

This one was made by Shea; It says "She is too fond of Books and it has addled her brain"- L. M. Alcott

Does this apply to me? *crickets chirping* :) Ok. Moving on.

This one was made by Claire; it says "I cannot live without books"- T. Jefferson

Another pillow, also made by Claire.
You might be wondering why there is an owl on the pillow. Well, ever since I was really little, I have always loved owls. I don't know why, I just have. One of my favorite books when I was younger was "Owl Babies"

Sam gave me this owl box filled with animal cookies. I give animal cookies to my goats for a treat, so when Sam gave this to me, he said "Here, it has something for your goats in it" :)

annnnnnnnd... DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!

I RECEIVED MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!!!!
At first, I thought that it would be weird driving by myself, but when I actually did, it wasn't weird. I love that I can now help the family by running errands for them and have already done so.
(I was SUPER excited the day that I passed the test, hence the goofy face in the picture)
